Updated September 2008

Our chapter takes pride in being one of the first chapters in the nation to have a fully developed Mental Health function and to have developed MOU/SOU's with Santa Cruz County Mental Health Department.  We currently have one of the largest mental health teams in the country for a chapter of our size.  We are fortunate to have a supportive staff and board of directors at our chapter and many talented mental health professionals on our team.

Below are links to the various disaster mental health guidelines. Please note that the original files are located below, in the Related Documents:

Guidelines For:

1. Developing an American Red Cross and Related Disaster Mental Health Team
2. Sustaining an American Red Cross and Related Disaster Mental Health Team

Our team is composed of licensed mental health professionals across all areas of our professional guilds including MFTs, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Psychiatric Nurses and Psychologists.  We value the American Red Cross for its inclusiveness and its emphasis that the mental health functions not only serve our community and nation, but the American Red Cross staff and volunteers who carry out the humanitarian work of the American Red Cross.  We also embrace and attend to due diligence in our efforts by honoring universal respect, professionalism and sensitivity to issues of diversity and fairness.
